The work-in-progress presentation before the audience that comes from Japan’s performing art circle capped our two-week intensive collaborative process in Tokyo, which began on Aug. 23. We are happy with the enthusiasm of the audience. From the maximum 30 seats, we had to add seats to 50 and even, with some regrets, had to refuse some reservations coming to our email address, because of the limited space. We felt the enthusiasm during the post-presentation discussion. No one left the room, everyone stayed to have the discussion and some even continued the chat with some artists outside the studio.
Next month, we will enter the third phase of our collaborative project in Shizuoka, Japan. In November, we will stage our complete version of “Peer Gynts – Asylum’s Dream” in Shizuoka Arts Theater, from Nov. 5 to 19, 2019.
